The Friend's & the MASSIVE Monday Weekend Redux!

What a busy weekend friends!!

All were buzzing about so many things that the friends will be speaking on many weekend events as they so choose!

If you missed the Jay-Z concert and 9/11 benefit on FUSE on Friday Evening-find it online and WATCH!
What other 9/11 tributes were worthy of recognition where you are?

And, the Caster Semenya case has people on both sides of the fence (No pun intended).  Should she be allowed to compete as a female athlete?

What about MJ's controversial speech at his Hall of Fame induction...seems quite a few people feel a little slighted.  Do we think he can back up what he says?  Does the Hall of Fame induction give him the right to talk the talk since he already walked the walk?

Serena-gate!!
So far Serena Williams has been fined $10,500 for her outburst at the U.S. Open.  Now, an investigation by the Grand Slam Committee is underway.  In a statement, Serena said "Last night everyone could truly see the passion I have for my job...Now that I have had time to gain my composure, I can see that while I don't agree with the unfair line call, in the heat of battle I let my pasion and emotion get the better of me and as a result handled the situation poorly."
Most agree that the call was unfair AT BEST.  Has Serena said enough?  Should she be stripped of her entire prize purse for this tournament and be banned from future tournaments? Friends, what's underlying here that nobody else wants to say but NEEDS TO BE TOLD?!!

VMA's:
The positives:
The MJ Tribute-even Madonna's very LONG but moving intro said alot about Michael the HUMAN, the PERSON.  Her words "I abandoned him" rang through to the hearts of many that loved him and like Madonna had just somewhere lost touch with him.  Fans that loved him in early days, but didn't understand him later in his life and just kind of let go.  The dancers were fantastic and Ms. Janet ended it with a bang.

Beyonce's performance was great as expected. AND-her gesture to Taylor Swift shows how classy she is and how seriously she takes her job as an entertainer.  Beyonce-Kudos to you!

Green Day showed that they indeed have LASTING star power.  The Guitar solo was FANTASTIC!

The negatives:
Kanye will not be outdone will he?  On his blog, soon after he was escorted OUT of the venue, appeared an apology:

Is this REALLY an apology and is it enough? Is it not fair to say and assume that although Kanye issued an apology that this attention he is now getting is exactly what he wanted?  Who will support him going forward?  What will REALLY stop his behavior??

Where are the HBO-Heads?  Thoughts on season finale's of True Blood and Hung??
Let us know what you think in the comment section!
Stay tuned for a post from the Friend's Inbox later today!  In the meantime, catch up on our posts from last week, send us a message on what you want to see this week, or send us a message and let the Friend's TELL IT!

Singer Pink tweeted, "Kanye West is the biggest piece of [expletive] on earth. Quote me," and Joel Madden of the band Good Charlotte tweeted, "All i'm saying is Taylor Swift is a young chic and you just walk up and grab the mic."

Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton said via Twitter that "Taylor Swift deserved that award, damnit. It is what THE PEOPLE voted! My heart broke for her, she looked so sad at the end of that moment."

Singer Katy Perry weighed in with "F--- u Kanye. It's like you stepped on a kitten."

VMA nominee Kelly Clarkson took to her blog to publish an open letter to West. "What happened to you as a child?? Did you not get hugged enough??" she asked.

Kanye is an asshole. Always has been and always will be. I hope people stop buying his stuff and I hope endorsements drop.

Castor Semenya.. I know it's insensitive(i have thoroughly chastised myself) but i am not saying it to her or grabbing her mic..I think its ironic that her last name is Semenya.*pause*
That being said..I think they should do a test to determine if she has more testosterone than estrogen..and whatever is higher then that's how she competes.
Serena...i have only seen a short clip or two so I can't comment.
MJ...I thought you meant the OTHER MJ..well MJJ..I didn't see or hear much about it so NO COMMENT.
Kanye is an insecure tool.
True Blood was awesome and I am glad they didnt drag it out.
