Falcon & Co...The Friends' would like a word...

Yesterday, while all were enjoying a normal Wednesday afternoon, news of a runaway homemade hot air balloon made the air waves.  The story of a young boy who had climbed in a hot air balloon project made by the family, and a sibling reported he was in it as it floated away.  Immediately, as the news was being covered and streamed, local agencies dispatched all their available units to follow this balloon and speculate on whether the child was inside, the child had fallen out, and what could be done to bring this hot air balloon down safely.

The child was identified as 6 year old Falcon Heene.  As the balloon drifted through the air, many outlets started researching the history on this family.  As it turns out, Young Falcon and his family have been featured TWICE on the ABC show, Wife swap.  As speculation started to stir about just what KIND of family makes a hot air balloon, or has a child home in mid day-the reports of their erratic behavior as storm chasers and parents who didn't believe in disciplining their children came to light.

As the balloon landed, it was empty.  Was this cause for relief or disturbance.  So again, the policemen, firemen, and supporting agencies from cities and counties all over Colorado refocused ALL of their attention and resources to finding this child.  And, as the family was "distraught and terrified" sitting in their living room, Falcon walked right in and joined his family after hiding in the attic because his father had scolded him.  Upon interviewing the child, Falcon made the comment to his parents that "You guys said we did it for the show".

Now investigators have said that they are "used to looking for deceptive behavior" and were convinced that the family actually did have concerns that Falcon had taken flight.

Now obviously, the no discipline, storm chasing habits are under scrutiny and should be put under further review.  However, news reports say that the family will not be charged for the responce from local agencies to the scene.  Richard and Mayumi Heene proclaim that they had nothing to gain by having a national news story in their backyard, but they do seem to like their camera time, no?

The Heene family just needs a moment with the Friends'. The news outlets are trying to be nice in a backhanded sort of way, the reporters are asking questions that you don't answer-we don't care much about what you say. This shouldn't go down in the news archives as a funny little story. You owe an apology, some money, relocation-SOMETHING! The Friends' would just like to tell you what we think. Sit back and relax, Richard & Mayumi-you are about to get TOLD.

***UPDATE***

As many people speculated, the Heene's proved our speculations were CORRECT.  Is anybody surprised that they staged this as a way to get their own reality TV show or add on to their two hours of fame?  Certainly now.  NOW, their lawyer believes that they should be showed some respect?!  Statements have been made about how arresting them in front of their children is child abuse...well, we'd like to know why they weren't pursued on child abuse BEFORE when they went public BEFORE on how they choose to raise their children.  Heene's you've received more than your 2 hr 15 min of fame-but you just need to be told.  PERIOD.

I believe that this is a ploy for more tv time and possibly funding for his various "projects".If anyone caught the family on Larry King and heard the child's admission , and then the subsequent interview this morning on Good Morning America. The child was nervous and visibly stressed to the point where he said he was going to vomit and left the interview. Diane Sawyer had to TELL the mother to attend to him. The Colorado sheriff defensively claim that they are well trained in ferreting out deception.I'm sorry but I think not. That entire family needs to be investigated. The truth will out.

RIGHT you were AJ!! Now onto getting them TOLD!!

Mayumi,
The Asian community denounces you. Please step to the right side of the line and join your husband in his heritage where maybe they will welcome this crackish-ness you have displayed.

We Asians do not understand raising children in a way where you do not put family first such that being a good citizen, education, and being an ethical person is not put first.

Child abuse? Yes, these children HAVE been abused. In the very wise words of my son, take them to jail NOW and make them stay there until they've paid back what they cost us.

They don't need a damn reality TV show, they've been on one twice and they got another few hours unedited over the weekend.

News outlets, do us all a favor and STOP covering this foolishness. The only footage I want to see is when they arrest these fools. Send those kids back to wherever Mayumi came from-they'll teach them right.

I don't have any other intelligent argument for these fools because they are fools. Put Richard and Mayumi in that damn hot air balloon and let them fly the hell away.

To all the Colorado agencies that responded quickly and dedicated their time and attention to this matter-THANK YOU. Hopefully all the other sane people can show you our appreciation somehow. Your work is not in vain-maybe now people will realize what kind of idiots you really have to put up with sometimes.

Cut the Heene's off the 911 list. 911 is a privilege, not a right.

Moni

Now as the Friends' are still addressing this, what do you think a proper punishment should be? Is it child abuse to remove them from the home? Have they committed a crime? Are they to blame for this hoax, or does the media have to take some responsibility for publicizing it so?

At any rate, Heene's:

YOU HAVE BEEN TOLD!

Now go find a rock to crawl up under and predict the weather from there!!
